  • A slowed down, educational approach to the basics of a Pilates routine

  • Perfect for beginners or folks who want to build their own home-based Pilates practice

The Pilates Basics series is a closed, six week series that will cover the basics of the Pilates repertoire. This class is perfect for beginners or experienced movers who want to learn the ins and outs of the building blocks of Pilates movements. We will take a slowed down, educational approach to learning the basic exercises, making sure that participants understand the goals of each exercise and how the proper alignment feels in their bodies. After taking this course, beginners will be equipped to easily follow along in an intermediate class, and all participants will have the tools to build their own home routine and know what kinds of modifications they need for their bodies to find a successful movement experience. Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook to take notes if they want to bring these exercises into a home routine. This class is open to everyone! If you have injuries or other challenges or limitations around movement, no problem- I can provide specific modifications for all movement and body needs.

**Basics series cancellations made within 72 hours of the first class are not eligible for a refund. While we do review the previous class' material each class, missed classes can be made up in a $40 private session.
